And now, as today operated by railroading giant Norfolk Southern, Horseshoe Curve comes to Train Sim World 2!About DLCAs part of contemporary Norfolk Southern’s Pittsburgh Line, famed Horseshoe Curve is today as vital, captivating, and busy as ever. Train Sim World 2’s Horseshoe Curve route, created by Skyhook Games, extends from the great and bustling shop town of Altoona, Pennsylvania across the rugged Alleghenies to Johnstown, Pennsylvania, 40 miles. And also included in the route is 15 miles of the historic and coal-rich South Fork Secondary extending from the main line at South Fork to Windber, Pennsylvania. All the legendary features of this great American railroad – the fabulous, 1.8 percent, 2,375-foot-long curve at Kittanning Point, massive Juniata Shops in Altoona, the Gallitzin Tunnels, the steep and treacherous “Slide” east from the summit, the helper station at Cresson, and more, come to life in the route!To do battle with the Alleghanies and haul diverse traffic including intermodal, coal, manifest, autos, oil, and more, you’ll take the throttle of Norfolk Southern’s ultra-modern General Electric ES44AC diesel, and you’ll also work aboard NS’s venerable EMD GP38-2.
