TACTICAL EDGE Much like chess, Hive has different insects which can only move in certain ways; the soldier ant can move to any position on the outside of a players’ hive, while the beetle can only move one space but can also be placed onto and across the hive. Jump over a line of pieces using the grasshopper, or use the spider to move three places in one turn. Be sure to utilize the different insects at your disposal and defeat your opposition – whether it be against the computer, a friend or online – whilst keeping a close eye on your own Queen Bee to avoid any fatal errors that would result in your downfall.
